New updates and improvements have been applied to the user interface of FADIC Website. This is making it more interactive, easier to surf and more user-friendly.
The main goal of FADIC Website in 2019 is to facilitate learning is one of the FADIC’s 10 Most Important Achievements

FADIC Educational system
Believe it or not, FADIC Educational System, is an evidence-based learning approach, to help all participant to learn in an effective way.
Among the most important improvements on FADIC website is the educational system.
In addition to, it is considered the first of its kind in the Arabic countries. An easy-to-use, integrated system for the subscribers.
Moreover, when the subscriber logs in, he/she can easily view the number of programs he/she subscribed in.

1- FADIC Mentorship System
This system enables the student to communicate with a mentor via a chat, making it easier than using emails.
The mentor is present every week on a fixed day, to answer any questions or inquiries.
Moreover, help the student with any difficulties he/she is facing throughout the program.
In addition to, follows up the progress of the participants, and presents them a role model, to encourage them to achieve the best results.

Program participants are asked to upload his/her workshop or project on the website for review.
The projects are then reviewed and graded, and the grade is sent to the student later on, as shown below.

Finally, there is a final project, that helps the participants to apply all they learnt through their learning journey of the program.

Every week of the program includes a number of important topics, as shown in the above figure.

The students go through the different topics of the lecture until they come to the workshop by the end of every lecture.

The participants find many important notes, and detailed steps for answering the workshop. They should provide their answers in the provided answer sheet available on the website

The uploading step of the workshop is important for the evaluation by FADIC Reviewer System.
The workshop is automatically uploaded to the website upon clicking “Upload”
Evaluation and grades can be viewed later upon clicking “view project”
It includes a detailed report or a brief comment from the lecturer, according to the participant’s evaluation.

Dealing with different medications and individual dose adjustments according to the patient demographics and clinical status. - Long- Term Antimicrobial Stewardship Program
A new era of antimicrobial stewardship, announced by the end of 2018 in the Middle East, to be studied in full details with FADIC
- Stewardship in a Community Outpatient Setting
Your guide to the practical application of antimicrobial stewardship at the community pharmacies or other community outpatient settings, and proceeding to the effective roadmap of stewardship, to help minimising bacterial resistance.
We are proud to announce the launching of FADIC’s research center, with the aim of enriching scientific researches worldwide.
And through FADIC Clinical Research Certification Program, we shall learn the fundamentals of research and study designs, data collection, and the guidelines of reporting and academic writing.
This program has been prepared along 18 months of hard work and careful revision.
Moreover, the program was prepared by a team of pharmacists and physicians with a high expertise in the field of research, in coordination with a team of international reviewers, following the most recent guidelines (American – European – Canadian guidelines).

The difference between Certification Programs & Mini Courses
First: Certification Programs
These are programs to be studied over a relatively long duration, usually 8 to 10 weeks.
Moreover, the program is designated to take the students along a journey to explore the various topics of the program.
Additionally, through weekly workshops, interactive discussions and final projects, the students can finally take the lead and apply what they learnt in the daily practice.
Second: Mini-Courses
These are programs with a short duration, 3 to 4 weeks with weekly workshops.
In addition to, they are brief, more focused than certification programs, usually dealing with one specific topic.
Third: One Day Workshop
These are one-time workshops, for those who desire to learn a specific point where they can learn it and submit a mini-project during one week period

FADIC was proud to participate in Duphat international conference in Dubai, UAE, with a special lecture about FADIC’s educational system.

FADIC issued many publications, the most important of which, was FADIC’s book “Stories of pharmacy and medicine”
In addition to, the book presented some disease states and how to deal with them in a comic way through a group of short stories, to assure they easily understood by the whole community.
Moreover, the book distributed in Cairo international book fair 2018, and many international book fairs in several countries like Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Tunisia, Sharjah, Jeddah and Bahrain.

Launched at the beginning of 2018, FADIC podcast presents important discussions that helped in entirely changing many wrong concepts and habits in the pharmacy practice.

FADIC with the CDC
In December 2018, FADIC signed on as the first Arabic institution, in the challenge held by the “US Center for disease control and prevention (CDC)”.
FADIC is proud to be the first institution across the whole Arabic countries to participate in the CDC AMR challenge.
At the end of our journey with FADIC in 2018, we are looking forward to meeting you all in 2019. A new year with a fresh start, wishing you all a year filled with success, excellence and great achievements.
