Introduction
- Pharmacists, Pre-registration Pharmacists and Undergraduate Pharmacy students undergo structured education to gain their Pharmacy qualification. During these processes it can be difficult to be sure that competency levels are met along the way.
Definitions
- Pharmacy Consultant: a practitioner who provides care to long-term conditions within a multidisciplinary setting.
- Leadership: a role which involves leading change.
- Quality: involves the creation of a safe and efficient service.
- Research: involvement within the development of pharmaceutical products or change in their use.
- Academic: a role centred around conducting research in order to improve practices or public health.
- Advanced: a well-established practitioner who has gained firm foundation prior to conducting this role.
