Antimicrobials Pharmacokinetic & Pharmacodynamic

Antimicrobials Pharmacokinetic & Pharmacodynamic

  • Antimicrobials Pharmacokinetic & Pharmacodynamic clinical application is important to everyone working in clinical practice.
  • Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics are the studies of the interactions between the body and a drug.
  • This course will explore the difference between the two and some key concepts within each one while using common medications as examples

Basic PHARMACOKINETICS Concepts

  • Pharmacokinetics defined as the study of the time course of drug absorption, distribution, metabolism,
    and excretion.
  • Clinical pharmacokinetics is the application of pharmacokinetic principles to the safe and effective therapeutic management of drugs in an individual patient.
  • Primary goals of clinical pharmacokinetics include enhancing efficacy and decreasing toxicity of a patient’s drug therapy.
  • The development of strong correlations between drug concentrations and their pharmacologic responses enabled clinicians to apply pharmacokinetic principles to actual patient situations.

Basic PHARMACODYNAMICConcepts

  • Pharmacodynamics refers to the relationship between drug concentration at the site of action and the resulting effect, including the time course and intensity of therapeutic and adverse effects.
  • The effect of a drug present at the site of action determined by that drug’s binding with a receptor.

After you finish the Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics for Antimicrobials Course, you will be able to learn:

  • Discuss the basics definitions of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics.
  •  Identifying different pharmacokinetic parameters
  • Application of pharmacokinetics in antimicrobial therapy
  • Determine the Pharmacokinetics of special population
  • Identifying different pharmacodynamics parameters
  • Understanding the different pharmacodynamic patterns of antimicrobial agents (time-dependent, concentration-dependent, post-antibiotic effects)
  • Know the clinical application of pharmacodynamics
  • Nominate the most important antibacterial Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics websites and mobile applications.
  • Learn the strategies to apply the antibacterial Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics in the clinical practice for clinicians, physician, and pharmacists.

“How to Optimise Pharmacokinetics & Pharmacodynamics for Antimicrobials & Clinical Practice”

Learn with FADIC Mentorship Reviewer System

You will have your own mentor, who will facilitate the learning journey in clinical research, & answer all your questions, additionally the reviewer who will review all your projects & workshop, to be able to your own research & publish your own paper properly.

Lifetime Access and Updates

As we all know, the world of clinical research is changing constantly. Updates, tools, methodology, and technology become obsolete and pave the way for new ideas and strategies. We will update the course as needed and help you overcome any unforeseen hurdles that may arise (as they will!).
