1 – تدريب العاملين الصحيين على التطعيم ضد كوفيد-19

  • يحتاج جميع العاملين الصحيين المشاركين في تنفيذ إعطاء لقاح كوفيد -19 إلى المعرفة والمهارات الكافية من أجل ضمان إدارة إعطاء لقاح كوفيد -19 بشكل آمن وفعال.
  • تم تطوير حزمة تدريب العاملين الصحيين على التطعيم ضد كوفيد -19، للعاملين الصحيين في الخطوط الأمامية في البلدان.
  • وتتكون الحزمة التدريبية، التي تم تطويرها بالتعاون مع اليونيسف، من 6 وحدات، وهي تشمل محاضرات بالفيديو واختبارات ومساعدات وظيفية وتمارين تفاعلية وعروض تقديمية قابلة للتنزيل مع المعلومات المتاحة.

2 – Healthcare workers’ knowledge, attitudes and behaviours with respect to antibiotics, antibiotic use and antibiotic resistance across 30 EU/EEA countries in 2019

  • While several studies have assessed knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of the public, physicians and medical students in a number of EU/EEA countries with respect to antibiotic use and antibiotic resistance, there is a paucity of literature for other healthcare workers.
  • This survey aimed to fill this gap.
  • It is important to move from raising awareness about prudent antibiotic use and antibiotic resistance among healthcare workers to designing antimicrobial stewardship interventions aimed at changing relevant behaviours.

3 – Assessing health care worker perceptions of face coverings during the COVID-19 pandemic

  • The Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic created a significant disruption in the personal protective equipment (PPE) supply chain
  • Face shields were reported to be better for breathing, cleanability, and prevention of face touching.
  • Face masks were found to be lighter and easier to wear especially among workers providing patient care.
  • Re-assessment of PPE and worker perceptions will need to be performed as products evolve and transmission dynamics are better understood.

  • Conducting a systematic country-level workforce needs-assessment is a way to develop coherent strategic and justifiable workforce planning.
  • This article describes a country-level needs-assessment process using a systematic approach as an analytical framework.
  • The needs-assessment aimed to prioritise gaps toward transforming the pharmacy workforce as a prelude to practice and pharmaceutical services reform in Indonesia.
  • This study prioritises the gaps in developing pharmacists in Indonesia. This process could be used in conducting needs assessment of pharmacy workforce development in other Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).

6 – 9 in 10 pharmacies now offering free, rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) tests

  • Over 90% of community pharmacies in England now offering free, rapid tests for home use.
  • Rapid, regular testing is now available to everyone in England and the new ‘Pharmacy Collect’ service provides an additional route to regular testing, making it as easy as possible for people without COVID-19 symptoms to access testing twice a week.
  • The Pharmacy Collect service is available to people aged over 18 without symptoms, who are able to visit a participating local pharmacy and collect a box of 7 rapid tests to use twice a week at home.
