  • An interesting meta-analysis on 12 randomized control trials have performed  to evaluate the clinical benefits of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) administration on gas exchange, and clinical outcomes in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) patients.

  • It is associated with several clinically relevant factors in critical ill patients.
  • A study  aim to establish the effect of CT-defined LSMM on short-term mortality in critical ill patients based on a large patient sample.
  • The results indicate that CT-defined LSMM is highly prevalent in critically ill patients, has a relevant effect on short-term mortality, and should be included as relevant prognostic biomarker into clinical routine.
