Phase angle as a biomarker
- A Cross- sectional study aim to assess the association of phase angle (PhA) with metabolic profile in adults of both sexes.
- The PhA was measured based on electrical bioimpedance analysis (BIA).
- The results indicate that Lower PhA is positively associated with waist circumference, glucose, non-HDL-C, triglycerides, PCR, HOMA-IR and uric acid. Also, Lower PhA is inversely associated with HDL-C. this outcome suggests that PhA is a promising cardiometabolic profile biomarker in adults.
